Sin,?I was glad to sec a letter in your June number on the " Designation of Army Medical Officers," and I quite agree with i 's remarks on the subject. At present all Medical Officers in the Army are familiarly called " Doctors" (whatever their rank may be) ; but where the order of precedence is so studiously carried out as it is in India, the relative Military rank of Medical Officers ought to be as clearly known as that of their combatant brethren.
